In mid-September 2018 an “Instagrammable” place located in Sitio Bombil, Barangay Lusaran, Cebu City was opened to the public, the Neri’s Ville Selfie Corner. This “Selfie Park” or shall I say “Selfie Corner” was used to be an empty land owned by a Cebuana flight attendant. Due to her profession she turned this barren place into an Instagrammable spot inspired by the countries she had visited such as the selfie parks in Bali and the hobbit houses in New Zealand.

For those people who are looking for some picture-perfect spot and for those who are searching for an iconic shot to boost their instagram feed then look no more as this Neri’s Ville Selfie Corner is the best place to be. Do not forget to bring your “instagram-worthy-photographer-boyfriend/friends” to take all those shots for you.
Albeit Neri’s Ville Selfie Corner’s location which is around 30 kilometers away from the downtown Cebu still lots of people visit this place. Expect to see a big crowd of selfie lovers during the weekends. I get discourage of queuing up for a long time so when I heard that people needed to stand on the line and wait for their turn to take a shot on each spots, I made sure to reach this selfie corner as early as I could.
One of the famous spot in Neri’s Ville selfie corner and the most common profile picture from this paradise is the copy-cat of “The Nest of Wanagiri” of Bali. This spot, if I am not mistaken, made Neri’s Ville became an instant instagram sensation. That is why this place is dubbed as “The Little Bali of Cebu”.

Another one in Neri’s Ville corner is the New Zealand “Hobbiton House” alike. Have you seen the movie “The Lord of The Rings”? This is inspired by the hobbit-house shooting place in the movie. Though there are amenities inside the hobbit house such as sofa, table, bed and the likes, the house is for picture purposes only. Neri’s Ville Selfie Corner does not offer any accommodations as of the moment.
Come prepared in Neri’s Ville. Bring outfits for each selfie themes and batteries. It is an amazing instagrammable place. You’ll never get tired of your vanity in there. You may run out of battery but you will never ran out of corners to take shots with in Neri’s Ville Selfie Corner. So make sure you bring extras for your cameras and power bank for your phones. As Bali’s “Nest of Wanagiri” and New Zealand’s “Hobbiton House” are not just the only selfie spot in this amazing instagram worthy park.

There were couple of groups doing their photo shoot in each of the selfie corners; professionals and professional-alikes. Thus, bringing extra instagrammable outfits with you is very ideal to have your vanity in Neri’s Ville. Take all your time, and take as many photos as you want. There is a small local mart outside Neri’s Ville, so whenever you feel thirsty and tired, you can buy your refreshments and snacks from there and take a rest in any available spot you feel more comfortable at inside the selfie corner. I advice you bring food for you and your friends to share whenever you are done instagramming.

Neri’s Ville Selfie Corner is part of the last Barangay of Cebu City before the town of Balamban, the Sitio Bombil, Barangay Lusaran, Cebu City.
This part of Cebu is not very accessible by any public transportation aside from taking a motorcycle or “Habal-Habal” as the locals call it up until the entrance of the Neri’s Ville. But before that, take a 62B or 62C jeepney from Ayala Terminal and alight at the Flying V Gasoline Station in Pit-os, Talamban. Jeepney fare is 12php. From the gasoline station, there are ample of “habal-habal” drivers that are very willing to take you to your destination. Motorbike fare is around 80-100 peso one way. Neri’s Ville is more or less a 30-40 minutes bike ride so prepare yourself. It is quite a long ride so prepare your butt and be generous to your rider.
